More About Jewel:
Jewel lives near the coastal city of Fremantle in Western Australia. She especially loves dogs, reading novels, writing in cafes, beautiful songs and music, the beach, glorious sub tropical places and her precious family and friends.
The Gifts and Blessings of Dogs:
As well as her passion for writing, healing and spirituality, Jewel has a great love of dogs. She has had some profound experiences through the joys of unconditional love and acceptance with the beautiful dogs below, Jewel Bella and Lawsy. She is fascinated and moved by the power of the bond and healing that can happen through the deep heart connection, empathy and love that can develop with our dogs. She also has a strong interest in inter species communication, the incredible role played by service dogs, and in animal assisted therapy programs.
The first photo below is of Jewel's beautiful American Spaniel, Jewel Bella, who spent many hours alongside her during the writing of the first draft of her novel. This very special and highly attuned little dog used to sit at Jewel's study door and bark for her to come and write when Jewel was doing everything but write!
She would then lay on the beautiful soft persian rug next to Jewel and stay with her while she wrote. Jewel discovered the power of unconditional love through her relationship with this deeply loving, courageous and beautiful dog who has left the earthly plane and who Jewel holds in her heart and continues to communicate with.
And Lawsy is our beautiful boy who was with us for 7 years. He was a rescue dog of such heart and beauty who became so deeply empathic and sensitive and always knew who needed love and support. His heart was enormous and he brought with him so many gifts.
